Online Therapy In Florida

Therapy for Trauma and PTSD, Grief and Loss, Women and Cancer

online in Miami and throughout Florida.

 You're Busy Caring For Others.

Now It's Time To Take Care Of Yourself.

As a mom, a caregiver, or a busy professional, it can be challenging to make time for yourself. Maybe, you're busy caring for your sick loved one and can't even think about scheduling an appointment with a therapist. Or, you're a mom juggling work, kids, and trying to find the time to keep up with your own needs.

Perhaps, you've been diagnosed with cancer, and you feel like your life is completely turned upside down. But you're busy with treatment and other medical appointments, so you don't have time to find a therapist. Or, you've experienced trauma, loss, or grief and you're struggling with managing day-to-day life.

You just know you need time to address your mental health, but you need an option that fits with your hectic schedule.

Why Would You Consider Online Therapy?

There are many reasons someone might seek online therapy. Perhaps you want to avoid the daily rain showers and crowds of tourists in Florida. Or, maybe you're an Orthodox Jew who wants to connect with a therapist who understands your religious beliefs and practices. And not have to worry about seeing them at synagogue. No matter what your reasons for seeking online therapy, it's important to know that this option is safe, convenient, and confidential.

Other reasons can include:
Working long hours and struggling to find time to see a therapist in person

  • Avoiding the weather or crowds of tourists

  • Wanting to access therapy from the comfort of your own home

  • Wanting to stay connected with your therapist during times of travel, illness, or hospitalization

  • Seeking a therapist that shares your religion that you won't see in person

  • Avoiding traffic and other day-to-day hassles

Regardless of your reasons for seeking online therapy, it's important to know that this option requires you to engage in therapy in a private place such as your home, your car, or a backyard. So, you'll need to set clear boundaries and avoid going to coffee shops, public places, or having your therapy sessions around others. This is for your own privacy and safety.

I Am Here to Help You Care for Yourself, No Matter How Busy Life Gets

As a psychodynamic and EMDR-certified therapist,

I work with many women who are great at many things but taking care of themselves isn't one of them.

However, with therapy, they have been able to build motivation, find support, and work through the hurt to feel stronger and happier.

In our work together, we’ll restore the pieces of you that are chipped, broken, or even shattered.

With compassion and support, we will build the motivation necessary to create a life that you love. Together, we will work on a plan for you to take time to care for yourself, no matter how busy life gets. This way, you will be stronger by incorporating both the parts of you that are damaged and repaired. Like the Japanese pottery technique, kintsugi, which believes that broken can be made beautiful by filling the cracks with gold. You'll fill your cracks with healing and learn to be proud of your scars.

My approach to online therapy.

You’re unique, and so are your challenges.

I approach online therapy as I would in-person therapy. I start by getting to know you, your unique needs, and where you’re struggling. Together, we will create a plan that fits your busy schedule so that you can make time for yourself to heal and grow as an individual. Whether it’s a current trauma, a childhood full of hurt, grief and loss, or cancer, I'm here to support you and help you feel stronger, happier, and more empowered in your life. By offering you a compassionate and listening ear, I will help you find the peace, strength, and fulfillment that you deserve.

I want you to know:

Caring for yourself is so important. I'm here at Restorative Counseling Center to support you and care for you as we work together on your trauma, loss, or cancer diagnosis. I know it can be hard to make time for yourself, but I'm here to help you create a plan that will work with your busy schedule. Together, we'll create a space for you to heal and grow as an individual.

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about online therapy in Florida.

  • Yes! Many people wonder if online therapy can be as effective as in-person therapy. Research supports that it is. The biggest factor in therapy being effective is a good relationship with your therapist, whether in-person or online. So when searching for a therapist, make sure it’s someone you feel comfortable with. I offer a free 20 minute consultation to see if we’re a good fit, and to see what online therapy might be like.

  • Ensuring the privacy and confidentiality of my clients is of the utmost importance to me. I use a HIPAA secure platform called Doxy.me, and send forms with PHI (protected health information) through Docusign, another secure site.

Equally important is your privacy and security during our sessions. To uphold this, I refrain from conducting sessions while you are driving for your safety.

  • Absolutely! I’ve effectively conducted EMDR therapy online for several years. We have two options: you can use the traditional of following my fingers with your eyes, or I can provide instructions for bilateral tapping, allowing you to use bilateral stimulation on yourself during sessions.
